DeRay Mckesson (born July 9, 1985) is a prominent American civil rights activist, author, and former educator known for his leadership in the Black Lives Matter movement. A Baltimore native, he co-founded Campaign Zero, a policy platform aimed at ending police violence, and hosts the podcast Pod Save the People.
