John Amaechi, OBE (born Nov 26, 1970), is a British-American organizational psychologist, author, and former NBA player (Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando Magic, Utah Jazz). Raised in Stockport, UK, he was the first Briton to play in the NBA. After retiring, he became a prominent psychologist, professor of leadership at Exeter Business School, and advocate for inclusion.
