Kamala Harris (born October 20, 1964) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 49th vice president of the United States from 2021 to 2025. As the first female, first African American, and first South Asian American vice president, she previously served as California's Attorney General (2011–2017) and a U.S. Senator (2017–2021).
