Lauren Laverne (born April 28, 1978) is a renowned English broadcaster, radio DJ, author, and former indie musician, best known for hosting the BBC Radio 6 Music breakfast show and BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. She rose to fame in the 1990s as the lead singer of the band Kenickie before transitioning to a successful career in television and radio.
