Anderson Cooper (born June 3, 1967) is a prominent American broadcast journalist, author, and television personality, best known as the anchor of CNN's Anderson Cooper 360° since 2003 and a correspondent for CBS's 60 Minutes. Born in New York City to Gloria Vanderbilt and Wyatt Cooper, he built a career on high-profile, on-the-ground reporting of global conflicts, disasters, and, in recent years, political commentary.
