Thomas Wesley Pentz (born November 10, 1978), known professionally as Diplo, is a highly influential American DJ, songwriter, and record producer born in Tupelo, Mississippi. Rising from the Philadelphia underground scene, he revolutionized EDM, pop, and dancehall, co-founding projects like Major Lazer and Jack Ü, and founding the record label Mad Decent.
