Skrillex, born Sonny John Moore on January 15, 1988, in Los Angeles, is a pioneering American DJ and producer who transformed EDM with his signature heavy bass and dubstep sound. After starting as the lead vocalist for the post-hardcore band From First to Last (2004–2007), he launched his solo career in 2008, achieving massive success with EPs like Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (2010).
