Shohei Ohtani (born July 5, 1994) is a Japanese professional baseball designated hitter and pitcher widely recognized as the greatest two-way player since Babe Ruth. Playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers, he made history in 2024 as the first MLB player to achieve 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season, having previously dominated in Japan's NPB and with the Angels.
