Juan-Carlos Cruz (born ca. 1962) is a Dominican-American pastry chef and former Food Network star known for hosting Calorie Commando and Weighing In after losing 43 pounds on a Discovery Health show. Following a career shift to low-calorie cooking, his life took a drastic turn in 2010 when he was sentenced to nine years in prison for soliciting the murder of his wife.
