Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, is a Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer born on June 11, 1995, in Lagos. Emerging in 2018 with "Mr. Rebel," she achieved global stardom through her vocals on Wizkid’s "Essence" and collaborations with Future ("Wait for U") and Drake. Known for her distinctive, velvety voice and self-produced music, she has won a Grammy Award and multiple BET Awards, redefining African R&B and Afrobeats.
